About Derrick Jr.

Derrick McGrew, Jr., is a third-generation driver from Ballston Spa, NY. At a young age, Derrick put a stellar resume together for himself. Derrick started in competitive racing at four years old in go-karts. With 148 career feature wins in karting, he collected 10 kart track championships. In May of 2017, he represented the USA at the Kids Royal in Australia, where he faced some of the best competition in Australia and was able to win! Derrick started out the 2018 racing season at the young age of ten. He set his sights higher and took on a more versatile role as a driver. He jumped into open-wheel racing in the Limited Sportsman division at three local tracks. Given the opportunity to prove his natural ability, he picked up 17 wins, 2 Track Championships, and the attention of many. Derrick also excels in football and wrestling, while he keeps focused and out of trouble.
